Iced Blueberry & Banana Smoothie

Enriched with antioxidants, potassium and a host of wonderful properties, this really is a chill-out delicious smoothie, one that can be enjoyed by both kids and adults alike.

Makes 2 glasses

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 frozen ripe banana
  • ¾ cup frozen blueberries
  • 3 frozen strawberries (for added colour)
  • 1 glass of chilled water

METHOD

Blend in a liquidizer until smooth and thick. Pour into chunky glasses and sip, or scoop if thick – did I say this is a fun drink ?!!!

    Elaine, I think it may well go down wonderfully – it is full of nutrients, vitamins etc. It’s so great being vegan and feasting ourselves on such delights that not only do us a world of good, help in the prevention of illness, but that also taste good. I somehow believe in a two fold theory of mine and that is : “if the ingredients are good for you and you LOVE the taste too, you get double the benefits” let’s hope that for you and your little girl, this will be the same. Great connecting with you Elaine.

    approximately 20 of these.. Ginger Root. — Please explain?.. .. being that ginger root comes in variable sizes.

    Carole Hi there – this recipe that you are commenting about has not got 20 of anything, it must be a mistake, there is no ginger in it !
